The Rhodes Historical Review is published annually by the Rhodes chapter of Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. The student-edited journal accepts essays from across the college that investigate historical subjects and themes.
Dr. Charles McKinney, chair of Africana studies and an associate professor of history at Rhodes, has co-edited a new book with Brown University history professor Françoise N. Hamlin titled From Rights to Lives: The Evolution of the Black Freedom Struggle.
Each year, the Phi Alpha Theta national history honor society invites all chapters to enter its Gerald D. Nash undergraduate print journal competition. The Rhodes Historical Review won third place in the 2023 competition.
