Early Decision
Early Decision (ED) applicants make a commitment to Rhodes as their first-choice institution and agree that, if admitted, they will enroll and withdraw all other applications, assuming an adequate financial aid package is provided. Early Decision applicants will have priority consideration for admission, scholarships, and financial aid.
- Rhodes offers an additional $3,000 Early Decision Grant to admitted ED students. The Early Decision Grant is renewable for four years.
- To be considered for need-based financial aid, applicants are required to complete the FAFSA by the ED application deadlines below. The CSS profile is also accepted.
There are two Early Decision rounds to consider.
- Early Decision I Deadline: November 1
- Early Decision II Deadline: January 15
Rhodes begins review of ED I applications seeking financial aid on October 1 and ED II applications on November 15. Notifications of ED admission and scholarship decisions are normally sent out within two weeks of receipt of all application materials. Students accepted Early Decision must make a $500 enrollment deposit within two weeks of notification.
Early Action
Early Action (EA) applicants submit their application early but are not making a binding commitment. It's an excellent option for students who want to apply early but aren't yet ready to make their final college choice.
- Early Action Deadline: November 15 (Notified by January 15)
Regular Decision
Regular Decision (RD) applicants send in their application in January. This plan is ideal for students who find Rhodes a little later during senior year or want to wait for new transcripts or test scores to become available.
