Career & Professional Development

Outcomes Matter

A Rhodes College education prepares students to embark on a fulfilling personal and professional life that will positively impact others. Our comprehensive, robust curriculum combines the best of a liberal arts education with practical, preprofessional programs that encourage students to explore their passions and discover the path that best matches their interests and talents. In the classroom, they learn such essential skills as effective communication, critical thinking, ethics, collaboration, and leadership, all of which will set them apart from other applicants. Our results speak for themselves.

Empowering Students

The Career and Professional Development office is where preparation meets opportunity. The holistic support given to Rhodes students includes resume building and interview preparation, but the staff also connects students with opportunities to gain experience and develop contacts in their area of professional interest and then supports them personally as they achieve their goals.

We have the tools to help you become successful.

The Four-Year Plan

We advocate a four-year plan for your major- and career-exploration path. It is a tried and tested approach that has proven itself by yielding great results for our students. One year after earning their Rhodes degree, more than 99% of our graduates are employed and/or attending graduate school. Some employment highlights from the Class of 2023 include:

  • Major accounting firms, including Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PwC, and KPMG
  • Fortune 500 Companies, including AutoZone and FedEx
