Summer Program Classes(new)

The best ideas often come from looking at things a little differently. The Spence Wilson Center for Interdisciplinary Humanities at Rhodes brings people together to explore big questions, share new perspectives, and make connections across subjects and experiences. From thought-provoking conversations to engaging events, the Center creates opportunities to explore what it means to be human and how the humanities help us better understand the world around us.

Want to turn your love of music into something bigger? At the Mike Curb Institute for Music, you’ll explore the business, culture, and history behind the music you love while learning in Memphis, a city that helped shape American music. Recognized by Billboard as a “Top Music Business School,” the Curb Institute connects you with industry professionals, real-world projects, and opportunities to see how the music industry works beyond the stage. Whether you dream of working in music, entertainment, or somewhere you haven’t discovered yet, you’ll build the skills, connections, and creative thinking to make your next move.

The Turley Center for Community Engagement helps Rhodes students connect with local organizations, meet people doing meaningful work, and find ways to give back. Whether you are volunteering, exploring a passion, or getting involved in a cause you care about, the Turley Center makes it easy to turn your interests into action and get to know the city beyond campus.

Imagine spending a semester exploring a new country, diving deeper into your academic interests, and seeing the world from a whole new perspective. The Robert Buckman Fellowships for Study Abroad help make that experience possible, giving Rhodes students the opportunity to pursue their passions abroad with $10,000 in fellowship support. Whether you're studying neuroscience in Copenhagen, exploring Latin American culture in Buenos Aires, or discovering a new path somewhere else in the world, a Buckman Fellowship can turn your curiosity into an unforgettable experience—and bring new meaning to what you learn along the way.

Whether you are digging into a research project, looking for your next great read, or figuring out a new piece of technology, Barret Library is here to help. More than a place to study, Barret brings together library resources, research support, technology, and spaces to write, create, and collaborate. From expert guidance when you need it to the tools that help turn your ideas into something bigger, you’ll find plenty of ways to explore, learn, and bring your next big idea to life at Rhodes.

Curiosity has no age limit. The Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to come together, explore new ideas, and discover something new. Through engaging courses led by Rhodes faculty and other experts, you can dive into fascinating topics, connect with others in the community, and keep learning at every stage of life. Whether you’re looking to explore a longtime interest or try something entirely new, there’s a place for you at the Meeman Center.

At Rhodes, your ambitions have room to grow. With dedicated faculty mentors, personalized academic advising, and the freedom to explore your interests, you’ll build an educational experience that reflects your goals and prepares you for what’s next. Wherever you want to go, we’ll help you find your path and give you the confidence to pursue it.

At Rhodes, academic achievement opens doors to new opportunities, meaningful connections, and deeper exploration of the subjects you love. Through our academic honor societies, students are recognized for their dedication, leadership, and intellectual curiosity while connecting with peers and faculty who share their passions. Whether your interests lie in the humanities, sciences, or social sciences, these communities celebrate your accomplishments and encourage you to keep reaching higher.
