Rhodes is a community built on shared ideas, experiences, responsibilities, and values. Every day, students, faculty, staff, and leadership make decisions that shape how the institution operates and how it is experienced by others. Policies provide the shared framework that helps our community make those decisions with consistency, clarity, and care.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a policy and a guideline?
A college policy is a formal, binding rule or governing principle approved by institutional leadership that sets expectations, ensures legal compliance, and manages risk across the campus community. Guidelines are created to provide instruction and support but are not considered a formal or binding rule.
How can a policy be updated or added?
An official request to add or update a policy should be submitted through the president's office and the Senior Leadership team. In order to request a new policy, you will need to submit a ticket to help@rhodes.edu.
