The classroom experience at Rhodes is up-close-and-personal and rigorous. We value the kind of engaging dialogue that arises when students and professors work together to investigate questions and problems they care about. In this environment, students are expected to formulate and articulate big ideas, and contribute in major ways to the critical discussions and debates that take place in our classrooms and laboratories.
Through 18 academic departments and 13 interdisciplinary programs, Rhodes offers more than 70 majors, interdisciplinary majors, minors, and academic programs.
As a predominantly undergraduate college, Rhodes offers unique programs and personalized counseling for students who plan to pursue advanced degrees. In addition, through the Master of Science in Accounting and Dual Degree programs, students may also undertake continued work toward graduate degrees at Rhodes.
The college catalogue contains complete descriptions of majors, courses, and academic standards as well as the calendar for the academic year. The academic year consists of two semesters, each containing fourteen weeks of instruction and a fifteenth week devoted to examinations.
Rhodes supplements an amazing classroom, laboratory, and fine arts performance experience with an experiential learning program that prepares our students for lives of intellectual promise, leadership, service to others, and enriching work.
