Global Rhodes: at the intersection of local strength and global experience.

A more inclusive and secure world depends on effective international and cross-cultural relationships in both local and global contexts. The Buckman Center for Global Engagement connects and celebrates Rhodes College’s many strategies and successes for this continual internationalization.

Rhodes faculty, staff, students, and beyond all share in this essential and exciting vision. In these sections, you may explore the variety of ways the Rhodes community ensures that students graduate with “the ability to translate academic study and personal concern into effective leadership and action in their communities and the world.”

Study Abroad

Roughly 65% of our students study abroad on over 200 global programs. In fact, Rhodes promises that every student will have at least one high-impact, hands-on learning opportunity, such as study abroad, before graduating.

International Students

International students are essential to the cultural health of the College. Hailing from every continent, they are valued leaders in our campus community.

International Faculty

Faculty with international backgrounds richly increase the diversity of perspectives represented in the Rhodes curriculum and expand the access of students to global scholarly networks.

Professor

Whether it’s leading international programs, researching with colleagues from around the world, or sending satellites into low Earth orbit, Rhodes faculty are committed to teaching, researching, and innovating on the global stage.
