Laura Shanahan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and a member of the Neuroscience Program. Her cognitive neuroscience lab investigates human sleep and sensory processing, and how these seemingly disparate topics intersect. Dr. Shanahan is particularly interested in impacts of sleep deprivation, as well as olfaction (the sense of smell).
