Brittany Cooper-d’Orsay is a dedicated horn player and passionate music educator, actively
performing and teaching throughout the Mid-South. She has performed as a substitute with the
Dearborn Symphony, the Nashville Symphony, and the Memphis Symphony, and is a frequent
collaborator in orchestral, chamber, church, and theatre settings across the region.
As a private teacher, Brittany maintains a vibrant horn studio, where her students regularly earn
placement in All-West and All-State ensembles. She is committed to guiding young musicians as
they grow in both technical skill and artistic confidence.
Brittany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Anthropology from Vanderbilt University and a
Master’s degree in Horn Performance from the University of Michigan. In Fall 2025, she will
begin her Doctor of Musical Arts in Horn Performance at the University of Memphis, where she
looks forward to deepening her artistry and pedagogical practice.
Alongside her work as a performer and educator, Brittany brings more than a decade of
experience in arts administration. She has served as Personnel Manager of the Memphis
Symphony Orchestra, Education Manager at the Orpheum Theatre, and Executive Director of
the Memphis Youth Symphony Program. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Ozark
Music Festival and is a co-founder of the Bluff City Wind Symphony.
