Dr. Yinyin Xue is an Associate Professor of Chinese Studies in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Rhodes College. Before joining Rhodes in 2020, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese at Kenyon College.
Her research focuses on twentieth-century Chinese literature, cultural and intellectual history, and media studies. She is also interested in science and technology studies and environmental studies. Her work has been published in Twentieth-Century China, the American Journal of Chinese Studies, and Asian Cinema.
At Rhodes, Dr. Xue teaches courses in Chinese and East Asian literature, film, and culture, including a course on the AAPI experience, as well as Chinese language at all levels.
