Music is essential to Memphis; other than the Mississippi River, there has been no more influential factor on the history and growth of the city. As such, music is an important academic endeavor for us at Rhodes. Students may explore their passion and/or talent for music through a number of avenues on campus. Whether by double majoring or minoring in music; joining one of our many bands, groups, ensembles, or choirs; or studying through the Mike Curb Institute, there are myriad options for students to engage with music at Rhodes. Scott Hale chose to start a record label to highlight student productions on campus.
