Ethan James McVay holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and an art history minor from the University of Memphis, where they served as a studio technician in the sculpture studio. As an interdisciplinary artist, they work in installation, sculpture, and performance. Ethan has exhibited work at local galleries such as Crosstown Arts and the UrbanArt Commission. In 2022, they participated in the Penland School of Craft's winter residency. Ethan was also a 2021 intern and 2023 fellow in the UAC’s "New Public Artist Forum." Since 2022, they have engaged in other art fields as a contributor for Focus Mid-South Magazine and union stagehand with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stagehand Employment. They joined Rhodes College's Department of Art and Art History in 2023, managing the sculpture, drawing, digital, and painting studios.
