Dr. Stephen Haynes, professor of religious studies at Rhodes, is among the five winners of the 11th annual Innovation Awards presented by Memphis Magazine. The awards recognize the best and brightest who are keeping Memphis on the cutting edge.
Haynes is being recognized for creating the Rhodes College Liberal Arts in Prison Program that brings the liberal arts to incarcerated individuals. In August at the college’s Opening Convocation, he was presented the 2023 Jameson M. Jones Award for Outstanding Faculty Service.
Innovation Awards winners will be recognized at a ceremony on Oct. 10 and currently are featured on the Memphis Magazine site. Read about Haynes here.
