Rhodes Recognized as a Healthier Tennessee Workplace

Rhodes is among 73 businesses and institutions across the state recently named a Healthier Tennessee Workplace. The recognition comes from the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness based in Nashville.

This is the first group to receive the designation as part of a new program to recognize organizations that encourage and enable employees to live a healthy lifestyle both at work and at home. The designation is granted for one year, and institutions will have the opportunity to renew their status.

Healthier Tennessee Workplaces have wellness programs in place to promote physical activity, healthy eating and tobacco cessation. Rhodes offers numerous activities promoting healthy lifestyles including its Power Hours, Health Trek, Walking at Rhodes, and Weight Watchers at Work. In addition, the college offers an annual health and wellness fair providing blood pressure, BMI, and cholesterol screenings.
