Fifth Annual Unsheltered: Unseen Photography Show Is This Friday

Photos from the Unsheltered: Unseen project will be showcased April 25 at Marshall Arts Gallery located at 639 Marshall Ave. Free and open to the public, the show is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Unsheltered: Unseen provides the homeless community an avenue for artistic expression as well as a catalyst for change in the discussion about homelessness. The commission given to each artist is simply: “Use this camera to capture your Memphis.”

Rhodes is a sponsor of the project which was started by Rhodes students in 2010. It also has community partners—More than a Meal at Idlewild Presbyterian, St. John’s Methodist Church Soup Kitchen, and Manna House—that serve as distribution sites for the cameras.
