Alumnus Dedicates New Book to Dr. Llewellyn Queener Who Taught Him Psychology at Rhodes

Dr. James Webb ’60, psychologist, speaker and author known for his work regarding gifted children and adults, is author of a new book titled Searching for Meaning: Idealism, Bright Minds, Disillusionment, and Hope. Webb has dedicated the book to Dr. Llewellyn Queener (1919-2003), who taught him psychology at Rhodes.

Founder of the Rhodes Department of Psychology, Queener retired from Rhodes in 1987, and his portrait below was added to the Rhodes Distinguished Faculty Portrait Series in 1999.

Webb is founder of SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of Gifted Children), a national nonprofit organization that provides information, training, conferences and workshops.
