Prof. Timothy Huebner of Rhodes’ Department of History has published two op-eds on this election day that apply lessons from historical events in the 1860s to the 2016 Presidential Election.
In The Tennessean, he asks, “Post Election Day, Are We in Store for a Civil War 2.0?” On the Real Clear History website, he points to “The Republicans' Andrew Johnson Moment” as a cautionary tale.
