Mock Trial is an academic activity designed to challenge those who are interested in law, debate, or other forms of forensics. Students are divided into teams and given a court case, which they must try as both the prosecution and the defense. Places on the team include both witness and attorney roles.

The Rhodes mock trial teams have qualified for the National Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament 26 consecutive years, a feat no other school has accomplished. Since 1989 our teams have placed in the top ten at the national tournament, more than any other team in the nation. 1990, 1991, 1994 and 1995 were winning years for Rhodes, with the teams taking home the trophy for the national championship in mock trial.
