Each year, one high school senior with exceptional academic achievements and distinctive personal accomplishments is awarded a Bellingrath Scholarship. This most prestigious of our awards covers the full cost of tuition for four years at Rhodes.
What are my responsibilities as a Bellingrath Scholar?
Your distinction earns you the right and responsibility of representing Rhodes to outside guests. Bellingrath Scholars assist the Office of Admission by participating in on-campus programs, conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families, hosting prospective students during overnight visits, and helping select future Bellingrath Scholars.
How do I qualify for this award?
Complete and submit an application for admission to Rhodes by January 15.
Awardees will be notified by April 15. All other applicants will be notified of their admission status and financial aid awards by April 1.
If you are awarded the Bellingrath Scholarship, you must submit your enrollment deposit to Rhodes no later than May 1.
All applicants who apply on time but are not selected as a Bellingrath Scholar will automatically be considered for our other competitive scholarships and fellowships.
