A message for students and their families who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey

The Rhodes community counts among its members many with Houston roots. If you or your loved ones are affected by the storm in any way, our thoughts are with you. Stay safe and let us know how we can help.

Over the past few days, we have reached out to more than 100 Rhodes students from areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. We know this is an incredibly stressful time for many of them who are worried about their families, their homes, and their communities. We want to make it clear that the college is here to support them. We have also asked our staff and faculty, as they work with students in the coming days and weeks, to please let us know if there are students who are struggling or need additional support. They can contact Dr. Russell Wigginton, Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students, at wigginton@rhodes.edu (901-843-3997), or Associate Deans Meredith Davis at davism@rhodes.edu ( 843-3529) and Alicia Golston at golstona@rhodes.edu (843-3881).

For applicants affected by the storm:

If you live in a storm-impacted area, the last thing we want you to worry about right now is your application for admission. If the storm has disrupted your ability to meet application deadlines, we can help. Please contact Katie Frink, our Texas representative, who will be happy to work with you to accommodate your particular needs.
