Here’s how to donate today!

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund lies at the heart of the Rhodes experience. Annual Fund gifts help maintain the excellence of the college, making a difference in every aspect of life at Rhodes. Contributions to the Annual Fund help narrow the gap between actual operating costs and what each student pays in tuition. Email Kerry Connors, call her at 901-843-3512, or visit our website for more information.

Lynx Club

The mission of the Lynx Club is to secure financial support for Rhodes College Athletics. Each year, approximately 25% of our students compete on one of 10 men’s and 11 women’s varsity teams in the Southern Athletic Association.

Planned Giving

Supporting Rhodes with a planned gift is a great way to ensure that Rhodes remains strong. Some planned gifts allow donors to make an immediate difference in the Rhodes community, while others focus on protecting Rhodes in the future. With properly structured planned gifts, donors can reduce income taxes, increase current income, pass assets to heirs in a tax-advantaged manner, or help secure Rhodes’ future while retaining control of their assets during their lifetime.

Mentor:

Mentor a student from anywhere! The Student-Alumni Career Adviser Program is designed for alumni interested in helping students prepare for the job market. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, providing students and alumni career advice, allowing a Rhodes student to shadow you at work, reviewing resumes, and performing informational interviews.

For more information, email Caitlin Dempsey ’12, call her at 901-843-3848, or visit the webpage.

Networking:

Our alumni and parents are our most valuable career resources and students are eager to learn from your vast expertise. You can easily get involved with the Rhodes Career Network by letting us know of employment or internship opportunities at your company, attending career networking events in your area, partaking in a career panel, or joining the Rhodes Linkedin group.

For more details, email Caitlin Dempsey ’12 or call her at 901-843-3848.

Reunions (alumni from classes ending in 2 or 7 needed):

Reunions would not be the same without our alumni volunteers. Reunion Class Committees members play a big part in the success of Homecoming/ Reunion Weekend by encouraging their classmates return to campus in droves. Committee members are tasked with reconnecting classmates to the college, helping their class reach Annual Fund reunion goals, planning their reunion event, and encouraging attendance through promotion of the event.

For more information, email Kristin Wescott ’12 or call her at 901-843-3855.

Parent Council

Parent Council strives to increase parent involvement through financial capabilities, mentoring/networking, feedback, and student recruitment. Parent Council is comprised of parents of current students, who are members of the Red & Black Society or the Charles E. Diehl Society. Members of the Parent Council are invited to campus twice yearly, during Parents Weekend in the fall and again in February. During each weekend the Council has the opportunity to visit with their students, but also to learn the latest information about the college from faculty and staff, provide important feedback to administration and enjoy the camaraderie of other Rhodes parents from across the country. In addition, President and Mrs. Troutt host a private reception for Parent Council members and their students.

For more information, email Amelia Thompson, call her at 901-843-3846, or visit our website.
