As a 2010 graduate of Rhodes College, Dan Schrader is excited to be working with his alma mater. During his four years at Rhodes, Dan majored in chemistry and participated in several groups on campus. While majoring in chemistry, Dan did research in organic chemistry and worked with his professor to develop a synthesis of an anti-cancer and anti-malaria drug. He also worked in several Student Affairs divisions serving as Orientation Intern, Student Associate in Residence Life and Intern in the Admissions office. All of these experiences helped him become passionate for higher education, where he finds himself today.
Dan is happy to be back in Memphis because of all the activities the city has to offer. He enjoys running in Overton park near campus and runs races through the local running club. “It is so convenient to be able to cross the street and be in a beautiful park with great running trails”, says Schrader. Also, Dan sees himself enjoying the new Greenline bike trail that starts in Midtown Memphis and goes to one of the largest urban parks in the country known as Shelby Farms.
