Our Mission is to promote collaborative efforts between students and faculty to foster quantitative learning.
Peer tutors work closely with faculty to provide additional academic resources for courses that have a substantial mathematical, statistical or computer science component. These are courses that satisfy the Mathematical Reasoning component of Rhodes’ foundations curriculum (F6)
The learning resources offered by MCRC include:
- Drop-in tutoring hours during which students may work one-on-one with peer tutors on any relevant topic.
- Study groups with a dedicated peer tutor.
- Regularly scheduled math modeling labs that are led by peer tutors.
The Mathematical and Computational Reasoning Center (MCRC) seeks to provide learning support for students in any course with a mathematical or computer science component.
