Rhodes Chapter Gets Ready for Habitat Build

Publication Date: 9/12/2007

The Rhodes’ Habitat for Humanity chapter begins its fall build on September 14. During the build Rhodes volunteers will construct their ninth home. The college’s Habitat for Humanity chapter is one of the oldest collegiate chapters in the nation.

Since 1983, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis has built 292 homes in partnership with Memphis-area families and generous, community-minded businesses, faith-based organizations and individuals. The cost of construction is kept low through the use of volunteer labor.
