Larrie Del Daniel Martin ’66, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity president and executive director, has been elected to the Atlanta YWCA’s 2007 Class of the Academy of Women Achievers. Atlanta Habitat has built homes with more than 500 families since Martin came on board 10 years ago.

For more than 20 years, the YWCA has honored Atlanta’s premier female role models through the Academy of Women Achievers. Each year, 10 women are nominated by their peers and recognized at the annual Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon in May. Members of the academy include actor/activist Jane Fonda, Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin, entertainer Gladys Knight and former first lady Rosalynn Carter.
