Bess Wolf Turns 99
Publication Date: 6/20/2007
Bess Wolf, known by generations of Rhodes alumni as an admissions counselor and coordinator of special programs from the 1950s till the 1970s, celebrated her 99th birthday June 16, 2007, at her home in Batesville, AR.
As lively as ever, she’s renewed her driver’s license, though she doesn’t drive anymore. But, as she said in an interview with the Batesville Daily Guard, “You never know.” Wolf, a musician and teacher, is the widow of English professor and folklorist John Quincy Wolf, who taught at Rhodes from 1937-71.
