The Southern Collegiate Athletics Conference named its all-conference team this past week, and four Rhodes football players made the first team.

On the first team defense, Ben Hobbs, a senior cornerback from Memphis, led the SCAC with 6 interceptions this season. Joining him in the first team secondary is junior defensive back Jack McCart from Lawrenceville, GA. Sophomore Desmond Hendricks finished the year second in the SCAC in sacks, and was named to the first team as a linebacker. Junior offensive tackle Zack Gropper represented Rhodes on the first team offense as well.

With a final record of 6-4, the Lynx used their stout defense to finish with the second most improved record in the conference. Looking forward to next year, it bodes well that the Lynx will return three of their four first team all-conference players.
