Wack Selected as Technology Fellow

Publication Date: 2/2/2009

Joe Wack ’01, Multimedia Support Manager in Information Technology Services at Rhodes, was recently selected as a National Institute for Technology & Liberal Education (NITLE) Technology Fellow.  According to the NITLE announcement letter, “The pool of applicants was large, strong, and talented. But in terms of experience described, specific interests demonstrated, and training needs outlined in order to enable the program to meet its goals for individuals and NITLE,” Wack’s application was one of two that stood out from the rest.

As a fellow in Digital Media Delivery, Wack will develop programming on delivering content over the web for technologists from universities from around the country.  He will work with NITLE staff to design and prepare curricula and outreach materials for NITLE participants.  These materials will help participants learn how to make use of appropriate technology and methods for delivering content over the web on their respective campuses.

According to its Web site, NITLE “is a community-based, non-profit initiative dedicated to helping undergraduate-centered colleges, universities, and educational organizations use technology effectively to strengthen undergraduate education.”
