There is no denying that students think the Rhodes campus is beautiful, but employees′ responses to a recent Chronicle of Higher Education workplace survey further testifies to the exceptional work environment the college provides.

In the recognition categories, Rhodes is featured under "Facilities and Security" and "Physical Workspace Conditions."  Rhodes also responded well in the "403b/401k plans" category.

Rhodes is among 89 colleges across the country participating in the inaugural "Great Colleges to Work For" program that researches the best practices and policies in the academic workplace.

A sampling of results was announced July 14 in The Chronicle′s special report on "The Academic Workplace." In the report, Rhodes is featured in the article "A Campus to ′Nourish the Soul′ " written by Kate Moser.  Quoted in the article is Rhodes′ John Rone, Director of College Events, and J. Allen Boone, Vice President for Finance and Business Affairs.

The "Great Colleges to Work For" program is not a ranking but provides a foundation for future research to advance workplace quality at college and universities.
