At 50, she went back to school at The University of Memphis to get a master’s degree in psychology.
At 65, she retired from Rhodes after serving as an admissions counselor and coordinator of special programs from the 1950s through the 1970s.
At 99, she renewed her driver’s license.

And on June 16, 2008, Bess Wolf celebrates her 100th birthday.

Wolf, known by generations of Rhodes alumni, is the widow of English professor and folklorist John Quincy Wolf, who taught at Rhodes from 1937-71. She resides in Batesville, AR.
