Annual Haunted House Fosters Volunteerism and Community Participation
Publication Date: 11/5/2007
More than 200 residents attended the annual haunted house of the Hollywood Community Center (1560 N Hollywood St.) on October 25. The center provided activities for all ages and included a discussion of parenting issues in connection with the National Endowment of the Arts sponsored "The Big Read" program, which includes reading To Kill a Mockingbird.
Among the Rhodes volunteers were several members from Greek organizations, Bonner scholars, student-athletes, and students from Professor McGowan’s medical sociology class. Rhodes alumni also helped make this fun and educational event a success.
