Tyler Adams ′15 Lands Summer Internship With City of Memphis Urban Fellows Program

Political science major Tyler Adams ’15 is one of 24 local college students working as a summer intern as part of the City of Memphis’ Urban Fellows Program. The program aims to keep some of the city’s best and brightest from moving away after college graduation by enhancing interactions with various divisions of City of Memphis government.

In a recent interview with WREG/CBS-TV, Adams, who is from Marrero, La., says that he is definitely considering staying in Memphis after graduating from Rhodes.

Adams’ duties include readying the program for the summer and fall Urban Fellow interns by setting up orientation for new interns and collecting project proposals; creating a database of past and present Urban Fellows and their projects; and serving as a liaison between Rhodes and the City of Memphis to recruit more Rhodes students to serve as volunteers with the divisions of city government.
