Rhodes Students Bring Back Awards From Mid-South GIS Conference

Rhodes students recently brought back awards from the Mid-South GIS Conference held Nov. 6-7 at the Kroc Center in Memphis. Brooke Rose, a junior environmental science major, won the GIS scholarship for her talk titled “GIS Analysis of Beef Cattle Farms in Tennessee (2007-2012).” Rhodes students Conner Bradley, Erin Lowrance, and Maraia Tremarelli also gave talks.

Rose with Sara Rodriguez, a junior environmental studies major, received first place for their research poster titled “Amphibian and Reptile Species Richness in Shelby Farms Park.” Taylor Sieben, a senior environmental science and Spanish major, took second place.

Conner Bradley, Quynh Jacobs, April Lassiter, Sophie Costa , Catherine Miller and Andrew Tait also presented posters.
