Alison Lundergan Grimes announced Monday she will run against Mitch McConnell in 2014 for his U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky. McConnell is Senate Minority Leader, and Grimes has been Kentucky Secretary of State since 2012.
Grimes graduated from Rhodes in 2001 with a B.A. degree in political science. She also served as a student trustee and in the Rhodes Student Government. She earned her law degree from American University.
