Mock Trial Ends Semester with Impressive Finish at Invitational

Rhodes A and B mock trial teams finished second in the highly selective University of California-Irvine invitational held this past weekend in Long Beach, CA. The University of Virginia, University of California at Los Angeles, Furman University and Miami University were among the schools that competed.

Meanwhile, the Rhodes C, D and E teams hosted the 12-team Blues City Scrimmage on the Rhodes campus. Four Rhodes students won Outstanding Witness Awards: Matt Koch, Annie Rebbe, Elizabeth Ross, and Mary Madison Tesler. Four also won Outstanding Attorney Awards: Elizabeth Ross, Natey Kinzounza, Corey Lipschutz and Zach Monroe.

The teams will take a break until next semester. In the spring, Rhodes also will host an opening round of the 2014 American Mock Trial Association′s National Championship Tournament.
