Leah Ford ’15 Wins National Young Volunteer of the Year Award

Rhodes senior Leah Ford has received the “Young Volunteer of the Year" award presented by Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Ford has served on its Young Leaders Advisory Council volunteering more than 200 hours.

An anthropology/sociology major and gender and sexuality studies minor, she is a graduate of Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee. She also is involved Young People For (YP4), a program of People For the American Way Foundation.

In addition, Ford has served as a student leader on campus and is a member of the National Women′s Studies Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, and the Mortar Board. She will be inducted into Phi Beta Kappa this semester.

Ford currently works part-time at Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region as the social media coordinator and will be accepting a full-time position as the volunteer coordinator following graduation in May.
