Dr. Barron Boyd, director of Rhodes’ Buckman Center for International Education, has been elected to the Comenius Academic Club. Limited to 30 members, the organization is part of the Czech and Slovak Solidarity Council in New York and brings together intellectuals and artists to engage in the advocacy of a variety of subjects including science, education, art, and culture.
Boyd also is coordinator of the Buckman International Studies Initiative, which seeks to provide internships and study abroad opportunities for Rhodes international studies majors. He works with those on campus and professionals in the field of international education to develop affordable, world-class programs in global experiential learning.
