Chemistry Major Jennifer Rote ’15 Wins First Place at Research Conference

Senior chemistry majors Gabrielle Bailey, Diana Bigler, Jennifer Rote, and Hallie Weems recently presented their research at the Arkansas INBRE Research Conference in Fayetteville, AR.

Rote (pictured) won first place for a presentation based on her research on the synthesis of dopamine analogues. She has been working with Prof. Larryn Peterson since May 2013. Bigler was awarded Honorable Mention for a presentation based on her honors research.

Both Rote and Bigler are working on a collaborative project with Profs. Peterson and Cafiero.

Rote graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in Alabama.
