Allison Rogers '16 Honored as Volunteer of the Year by Friends For Life

Allison Rogers recently was honored as Volunteer of the Year by Friends For Life. She has been a volunteer there since her first year at Rhodes and has been involved in advocacy for individuals living with HIV/AIDS through the Queer Advocacy area of the Kinney Program.

Friends For Life is one of the oldest HIV/AIDS service organizations in the southern United States. Rogers was presented with an award at the Aug. 17th Feast For Friends dinner at St. John’s United Methodist Church. The event is held on the first and third Mondays of each month for persons living with HIV/AIDS and their friends, families and caregivers.

Rogers is a senior anthropology/sociology major at Rhodes.
