College Raptor, an online resource that helps prospective college students explore college options, recently ranked Rhodes No. 10 among schools across the country as a “Hidden Gem for Women in STEM.”
The award, totaling $294,000 with Dr. Keri Colabroy of Muhlenberg College, supports collaborative research of an unstudied family of enzymes related to biofuel production.
Caroline Magee, Emily Harrison, Rebecca Evans, Madison Perchik, and Samantha Jelinek were the only American undergraduates at the conference attended by scientists from all over the world.
The dedication ceremony included a reveal of the renovated Briggs Hall—now home for computer science studies and a virtual reality lab—and the Bill and Carole Troutt Quadrangle.
