Dr. Bremer teaches classes on religion in the Americas, methods and theories in the academic study of religions, and core curriculum courses in Religious Studies. In addition, he serves as Director of Teaching and Learning Initiatives, overseeing the college’s teaching mentorship program for new faculty and coordinating other teaching and learning activities on campus. He is author of Blessed with Tourists: The Borderlands of Religion and Tourism in San Antonio (2004, University of North Carolina Press) and a forthcoming textbook on American religious history from John Wiley & Sons titled Formed From This Soil: An Introduction to the Diverse History of Religion in America
