Re: Medical Insurance and Other Fringe Benefit Information
Date: May 7, 2008
It is time once again to complete the annual open enrollment process for the medical and dental insurance plans and the Personal Spending Accounts.
Total premium charges for medical insurance will be adjusted modestly, but will still be available to be paid on a “pre-tax basis” through payroll deductions. There are no changes to the benefit structure of our medical plans.
Plan structure and premium changes are outlined under the Changes for 2008-2009 section of the open enrollment website.
The College will discontinue the voluntary dental plans offered by Companion Life and replace them with two plans from Guardian Life. These plans offer better benefits than the previous plans and, for most levels of coverage, the premium will decrease.
The method for enrolling in your benefits or making changes will again be accomplished through Banner Web. Four sessions have been planned in the computer lab in Barret Library, Room 128 to provide assistance to faculty and staff who are unfamiliar with the “on-line” enrollment process.
These sessions will be conducted:
May 13, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
May 15, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
May 21, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
May 27, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
If you have any questions about the enrollment process, please contact Human Resources at 843-3750.
