Associate Dean of Admissions
The Office of Admissions is currently seeking applications for Associate Dean of Admissions. This is a key position within the Admissions Office and the College. The Associate Dean of Admissions reports to the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for developing, forecasting, and managing the admissions operating budget; coordinates research efforts to model the entering class; coordinates direct mail process and marketing; oversees admission publications process; serves as integral member of enrollment and financing team; advises the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid about admission issues impacting enrollment objectives; serves as a key member of a team that oversees strategic use of financial aid in recruitment and retention; reviews application files; travels to assigned recruitment territories and conferences; interviews prospective students; and makes public presentations with respect to the admission selection process.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred), five or more years of progressively responsible admissions experience at the Director of Admissions level; excellent interpersonal, managerial and organizational skills; high degree of integrity and empathy; experience in a highly competitive, private higher education institution; and a valid driver's license. Candidates must be able to understand and articulate the benefits of a liberal arts education in a residential setting.

Director of Financial Aid
Rhodes College invites applications for the position of Director of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, the Director manages an annual budget of over $26 million in federal, state, and institutional funds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for directing the activities of all personnel in the Financial Aid Office; integral member of enrollment and financing team; ensures compliance with Federal title IV and state regulations; certifies all reports to regulatory agencies; packages and awards financial aid to accomplish enrollment objectives, meet budgetary constraints and net tuition revenue goals; formulates and implements Financial Aid Office policies and procedures; advises the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid about financial aid issues impacting enrollment objectives; serves as a key member of a team that oversees strategic use of financial aid in recruitment and retention ; ensures effective and accurate transmission of financial aid data and information to campus offices and outside vendors; cultivates and maintains favorable working relationships with regulatory agencies, school counselors, lenders, guaranty agencies and other offices and departments on campus; makes frequent public presentations dealing with financial aid and financial aid issues; develops and maintains office operations budget; monitors student financial aid budget to stay within College approved expenditure levels; edits financial aid sections of catalog and other publications; conducts research for reports and program analysis; and maintains and assigns endowed fellowships/scholarships according to donor preferences.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred; three to five years of progressively responsible financial aid experience at the Director or Associate Director level; strong financial management, data analysis, reporting, supervisory, counseling and team building skills; high degree of integrity and empathy; demonstrable knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations/programs; experience in a highly competitive, private higher education institution and experience with SunGard Banner, CSS PROFILE and/or other software products preferred.
