Director
Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director is in charge of all conference, programming and educational programs planned and executed by the Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning. Provides leadership for the development and implementation of continuing education programs which are embedded in the liberal arts, related to the Rhodes Vision, and provided through the College. Works closely with Alumni Relations, Advisory Council, constituents and prospective participants to determine the desirability of topics designed to engage adult in learning experiences and foster connectivity to the institution. Provides leadership for travel programs in collaboration with Alumni Relations and Development. Provides leadership and supervision for Meeman Center staff members. Manages and/or approves all budget transactions for Meeman Center operations. Works closely with the Director of College Events and faculty leaders of lectures series to coordinate promotional efforts for these programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree required. Three to five years professional experience in a higher education environment required. Experience with lifelong learning curriculum planning based upon market assessment is preferred. Prior academic administrative experience in curriculum planning, personnel, and budgeting is preferred. Ability to work with a wide range of campus departments and relate well to the public is a must . Must have exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Abilities to utilize professional judgment, to apply analytical skills and demonstrated leadership skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
