Men's Golf Competing for NCAA Div. III National Championship

Rhodes College men's golf plays at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC, today in the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship after earning the Southern Athletic Association's automatic bid. 

The full 42-team field contains 33 automatic qualifiers with nine at-large selections. Six competitors will play as individuals, rounding out the 216-man field. 
 
The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams.

The five Lynx representing SAA along with individual Jacob Arnett of Oglethorpe are listed below:

Chris Harris (SR)– 2x All-American; 2015 Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year; 2018 first team All-SAA, 2017 All-American Scholar; 2018 stroke average: 73.95
Alec Davis (SR) – 2017 All-American; 2018 first team All-SAA; 2018 stroke average: 75.53; shot single low-round 3-under 69 in third round of SAA Championship
Corrie Kuehn (JR) – won two tournaments this year including SAA Championship; 2018 first team All-SAA; 2018 stroke average: 75.57
Tyler Cohen (SO) – 2nd team All-SAA; 2017 SAA Newcomer of the Year; 2018 stroke average: 74.46
Hunter Bremer (JR) – 2nd team All-SAA; 2018 stroke average: 74.25
 
Davis and Harris will be playing in their fourth straight NCAA Championship while Cohen makes his second appearance. This will be Hunter Bremer and Corrie Kuehn’s first appearance on the national stage.
 
The No. 17-ranked Lynx will make their fifth consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. In 2017, the Lynx finished eighth at nationals, their second highest finish in program history. Rhodes has placed in the top 10 three times in the last four years.
