In April of 2010, I became the Departmental Assistant for the Political Science Department. I work directly with the professors in the department and supervise a wonderful group of student works. As my responsibilities and time allow, I enjoy lending a hand to projects for the Mock Trial and Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature programs.
Having earned an Associate’s Degree in Data Processing from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY, I had hopes of getting a job in data entry/office work. Instead, I took a job doing typesetting and paste-up at a printing company in Buffalo and never looked back.
Over the course of the next 30 odd years I continued to work in the printing industry as a page-layout and design artist, systems administrator, quality assurance assistant and customer service representative.
My family and I moved to Memphis in October 2008 – via a 10 month stay in Miami, Fl. – after my husband received a job transfer in 2007.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy cooking, crochet, sewing, puzzles, and reading. My husband and I have two children. Our daughter is attending Canisius College in Buffalo and our son is at White Station High School. We have two rescue dogs and a cat.
