Elizabeth Young joined the physics department at Rhodes in 2013. Her research combines the theory, design, and manufacture of optical devices necessary for detecting exoplanets (plants orbiting a star that is not our Sun). Professor Young is finishing her Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
