Rhodes Baccalaureate

The Baccalaureate service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 11, in the Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 North Bellevue. Seniors will wear caps and gowns. No seating tickets are necessary for family and friends to attend Baccalaureate.

Rhodes Commencement

Saturday, May 12, 9:30 am, Fisher Garden
Seating tickets are required for admission to Fisher Garden. See TICKETS FOR COMMENCEMENT.
(Rain location: see Rain Plan)    
The ceremony will be streamed online starting at 9:15am.

2012 Commencement Schedule

Wednesday & Thursday, February 8-9:

11am - 1:30pm: Reserve caps, gowns and graduation announcements, Burrow Refectory

Wednesday, May 9:

11:00am - 5:30pm: Regalia pick-up in Hardie Auditorium (Palmer Hall)

Thursday, May 10:

11:00am - noon: Seniors unable to come Wednesday should schedule a time to pick up regalia. Call 901-843-3888.

Friday, May 11:

9:30am: Senior Class Picture
Assemble with caps and gowns in the Frazier Jelke Amphitheatre (in case of rain, Mallory Gym).

10:00am: Commencement Rehearsal
Commencement Rehearsal with Faculty Marshals and “Senior Toast” (official welcome to Alumni Association). All seniors must be present, Hubert F. Fisher Memorial Garden (Bryan Campus Life Center in case of inclement weather).

2:40pm: Line Up for Baccalaureate
Graduates assemble with caps and gowns for the Baccalaureate Service, Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 North Bellevue, Memphis.

3:00pm: The Baccalaureate Service, Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church (PDF), 70 North Bellevue, Memphis. Seniors will wear caps and gowns. No seating tickets are necessary for family and friends to attend Baccalaureate.

Saturday, May 12:

8:45am: Line Up
Graduates assemble in Frazier Jelke Science Center. (See rain plan in case of inclement weather.)

9:30am until approximately noon: Commencement in Hubert F. Fisher Memorial Garden. (See rain plan in case of inclement weather)

Immediately following Commencement: Commencement Celebration Reception
Graduates and their guests are invited to a reception with President and Mrs. Troutt and the Rhodes Faculty in the Rollow Avenue of Oaks. In case of inclement weather, refer to the graduation program as to the location of rain sites.

Immediately following Commencement Reception: Regalia Return
Graduates must return caps, gowns and hoods to Hardie Auditorium.

NOTE: At both Baccalaureate and Commencement, signers will interpret the services for the hearing impaired. There is handicapped-accessible seating.
