Publication Date: 7/21/2014

Rhodes art historian Dr. Victor Coonin discussed his new book From Marble to Flesh: The Biography of Michelangelo’s David today on WREG-TV’s “Live at 9.” He has been researching and establishing himself as an expert on Michelangelo for more than two decades.

Written to be accessible to the general public, this is the first book about Michelangelo’s David to tell the comprehensive story of the world-famous sculpture, from its origins up to the present day.

The 272-page book with 140 color illustrations is available on The Florentine Press website. It also is available on Amazon and locally at the Booksellers at Laurelwood. It will be in the campus bookstore soon.
