It’s a Weekend of Rhodes Arts April 11-13

Rhodes will showcase its arts program April 11-13 beginning with a Senior Thesis Exhibition Opening and ending with a “Choral Music From Around the World” Concert. Free and open to the public, the events will take place on campus, except the choral music rehearsal and concert that will take place at Evergreen Presbyterian Church located across from the campus. Here is the schedule:

Senior Thesis Opening Reception & Exhibition, and Open Studios Tour
Friday April 11, 6-8 p.m.
Clough-Hanson Gallery
Art studios are located in Clough Hall in Rooms 221, 312 and 319. This event will provide opportunities to connect with current students, alumni and faculty.

Chamber Music Concert
Friday, April 11, 7:30 p.m.
Hardie Auditorium, Palmer Hall
Rhodes finest student performers, selected by the music faculty, will present chamber music.

Rhodes Singers Open Rehearsal
Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m.- noon
Evergreen Presbyterian Church, 613 University
The Rhodes Singers concert choir offers an open dress rehearsal of their repertoire for the “Choral Music from around the World” concert on Sunday, April 13.

Theatre Performance by Student Improv Group Contents Under Pressure
Saturday, April 12, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
McCoy Theatre Studio

“Choral Music from Around the World” Concert
Sunday, April 13, 3:30 p.m.
Evergreen Presbyterian Church, 613 University

The Rhodes Singers, Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform music from Haiti, Germany, Africa, Ireland, Norway, Estonia, and the United States.
